Shear and Utter Dissapointment

Shear and utter disappointment is not even close to the feelings I have concerning this week’s events in Coline, Texas. Depressingly disgusted may fit better. To think that from the leadership of our country from State Department on down it appears that the safety of our country and of it’s people is not a real concern is very dismal.

The inability of our nations leadership to discern how to think and act in proactive ways before problems escalate is mind bending. From inviting those known of terrorist involvement to speak in our nations colleges to this ridiculous event of allowing a man of uniform to publicly speak against this country and it’s military efforts to remain in the service of his country when his first oath is to protect and defend is beyond comprehension.

Today our people in leadership have such an inability to tell the difference between a real threat and a benign one that they suspend a six year old from classes because they bring their cub scout knife fork and spoon gadget to lunch. They determine that a young high school ROTC student who has a complete life sustaining set up in his trunk which includes his grandfathers pocket knife should be suspended for 5 weeks from school because they have a zero tolerance policy.

Today I have less confusion about this Islamic man killing so many people than I do with our country’s leadership on so many levels. This man was well known to speak out about his feelings and beliefs. Rhetoric that should have at least qualified as treason. Treason a very good reason for court marshall. Then at least he would have done this killing in civilian clothing and not in the same clothing as the one’s he destroyed.

I agree with all your comments, unfortunately we are so far removed from the situation we can’t do much other then to announce our displeasure. In the business world once his position was known, I would have fired or dismissed that individual immediately, and I may fire the person that hire him.. as well.

    Larry,
let us see if the leadership in this case are as wise and have as much common sense as you!

This is just one more piece of news to make us all sit up and take notice. We tolerate many…even those in our government!!!

    Thank you for speaking out.

Dear Colleen: I uttered almost the very same words to Ron and to my son Glenn. Both felt as I do. I just can’t seem to find the right words to utter my frustration, and contempt, as emotionally as I would like to. A loud scream is one of the ways I can relieve the feelings. Although I have seen the silent majority speaking out at these so called meetings around the country, (which is good) I sometimes wonder what good is it doing??? Do you think people are any the wiser? Do you think at the next elections voters will be better informed and not just listen to the tv and bias stations, and read bias newspapers, and see things as they really are??? Will they look and read about the candidates, not just recent events but way back before they became viable candidates? Maybe then we will be able to pick GOOD and HONEST leaders to lead this country back to the wonderful, safe, and free, place it once was.

I NEVER thought I’d see anything like this in my lifetime. How sad! America was once the strongest, most God fearing, most influential, most affluent nation in the world and if it wasn’t I believed it was. Now I hate to think about what is in store for my sons and their future families. All I can say is Wake up America! Stand up for our rights as US Citizens before it’s too late and PRAY PRAY PRAY!

I shudder to think about how the families of the victims feel about their family members losing their lives while serving our country right here at home.

I agree and have thought about those sad families and the terrible unnecessary waste of their loved one.

I am not sure they can accept their own error and make those kinds of changes. The lack of concern after each atrocity we have watched this year seems to grow.
I appreciate your feelings and concerns.
